OUT.

Crap performance – No bottle or desire shown – Same old story.

Too much of this and not enough getting stuck in.

FA CUP on FOX.

image

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that it was announced today that FOX Soccer will now be broadcasting the FA Cup matchup between Everton and Fulham LIVE this Friday at 3pm ET. It’s the only place where people will be able to watch the match so we are pretty excited about it.

Feel free to let the rest of the Supporters Club know, please let me know if there is anything we can help you or the Supporters club with moving forward.

Best, Will

More of Tom’s visit to Craven Cottage.

Here are some of the photos we took on Saturday, I think Tom said he took well over 100 photos. As I think I said yesterday, no one said no to Tom, nothing was to much trouble. They have just played a gulling game and you could have understood if they had just wanted to sit down with a beer, but no. Instead it was “Hi I am (name) did you enjoy the game? do you want an autograph? have you got a camera?” What I am trying to say is, Tom didn’t have to ask – they offered. As one player said to me when I thanked him “No problem, were all dad’s and wouldn’t want our kids to go through what Tom has been through”.

From my experience yesterday, they are all thoroughly nice ordinary blokes, who have not forgotten that the fans count.

Tom at the Cottage.

Words simply fail me to describe yesterday. So often we hear stories about overpaid footballers being distant from the fans – not at Fulham and certainly not yesterday.

Tom and myself were treated like royalty from beginning to end, no they treated us better than royalty. Before the game Tom got to sit in Chairman Mo’s seat up in the directors box and Martin Jol’s seat in the dugout. Nothing was to much trouble and whilst it might be cold up on the balcony, when you are watching a second half performance like that and you have Simon Davies one side of you and Mark Shwarzer the other side, you somehow forget the wind believe me. After the game was simply amazing. Tom got to talk to most of the first team squad, get their autographs, pose for photos and here is the best bit …. the player who has supported and done so much for Tom walked in the room and handed Tom his and two other players autographed shirts (each shirt had a personal message for Tom) and then had a good chat for about 20 minutes with Tom. He then called over some of the other players to meet Tom. Certain players then introduced us to their friends and family.

As a dad I can never thank the players and the club enough for the day they gave my son yesterday. It is not an exaggeration to say that he will never forget yesterday as long as he lives, and I have to say that our first team are a group of toughly nice, down to earth people.

After the game I took to Tom for his first beer (the doctor said a half would be OK as it was a special occasion). The reception he got from his fellow Fulham fans when they saw he was wearing AJ’s shirt put another big smile on his face.

Somehow I think the Tower of London, Big Ben etc are all going to be a massively unimpressive after yesterday!

Thank you Fulham.
